 Soak Your Shower Head

It can be frustrating to clean the shower head and still see water marks. These can cause it to look dirty and ruin the look of the bathroom.

Clean the hard water from your shower head by soaking it over night. Just fill a plastic bag with vinegar and add baking soda.

As the two begins to react to each other, quickly tie the bag around the shower head. Ensure that the shower head is completely immersed. If possible, you can remove the shower head to avoid reaching high.

 Streak Free Mirrors

When cleaning the mirrors, it can be daunting to get them completely streak free. It may take a long time to get them clean and clear.

To speed up the process, just include newspaper in the cleaning process. After you’ve cleaned away all the spots and smudges from the mirror, allow it to dry down a bit.

Take a piece of newspaper and crumple it up. Use this to clean off the water marks and streaks, rubbing in a circular motion. This will help to dry the water and remove the streaks quickly and easily.

Quick Clean Floors

If you’re in a hurry, you can clean the floors quickly with a mop and a bottle of all-purpose cleaner. This cleaner can be made with vinegar, baking soda and a small amount of fabric softener.

Just add 2 cups of vinegar, 1 tablespoon of baking soda and a very small amount of fabric softener to a bottle. Shake well and fill the  rest of the bottle  way with water.

Add a liter of vinegar to a pot and bring it to a boil, use this immediately. Slowly pour this down the drain allowing it to fill up.

Once it seems to have stopped, use a drain snake to encourage the debris to go down. The vinegar will melt away the pieces of hair and soap that would have caused the clog.

 Remove mold with Hydrogen Peroxide

If you have a wooden roof in your bathroom or other pieces of wood, you’re susceptible to mold. Constant moisture can get trapped in wood, causing mold to form.

This can be removed with hydrogen peroxide and tea tree oil. Just add hydrogen peroxide to a spray bottle. You can also add a spray nozzle to your hydrogen peroxide bottle.

Give the solution a little assistance by scrubbing the corners with a toilet brush. Your toilet will be clean and fresh in no time and with minimal effort.

Eliminate the Scent of Urine Easily!

To rid your bathroom of the smell of urine, all you need to do is add 2 lemons to the cleaning solution. Combine 2 cups of vinegar, 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 2 lemons.

Use this mixture to clean the inside and outer regions of the toilet. The vinegar and baking soda will work to clean and disinfect while the lemon will deodorize and leave a fresh scent behind.

This powerful solution can be used as an all-purpose cleaner as well as a bathroom cleaner.

 Drip Dry Toilet Brush

The toilet brush can develop an odor or even store bacteria that may cause mold. It is important to clean this tool and ensure that it is dry before placing it in its tray.

To ensure that the toilet brush does not develop an odor or mold, allow it to drip dry. After use, rest the toilet brush between the toilet and toilet seat.

Use fresh water to rinse it over the toilet bowl and allow it to drip dry. Once it’s dry, just place it in its holder or tray until the next cleaning day.

Disinfecting Poo Pourri

One great hack to ensure that the toilet stays clean is making a disinfecting poo pourri. Simply add 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide, 1 teaspoon of baking soda and a few drops of essential oil.

Spray this in the toilet before you poo to keep the scent all the way down. Once you’re done and you’ve flushed, spray the poo pourri in the toilet bowl.

Instead of throwing out your shower curtain liner, wash it. You can wash your shower liner in the washing machine once per week.
